The institute was established by the ICFAI group in the state of Telangana as per Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The college offers law, management, and technology courses through three of its blocks, which is why it is considered as one of the largest multi-disciplinary universities of India. It is officially a member of the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) & ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities), & also accredited by AACSB.

The placement rates are great at the ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education. The students must complete the registrations process for getting the admissions at IFHE. The admissions are currently open for the academic session: 2026-27. The applicants are taken in for the admissions of the course through the entrance tests conducted at the institute.
Note: ATIT exams are conducted for a total of one week to avoid the clash with other entrance exams like IIT-JEE Mains, AP/TG EAMCET, etc.

IFHE Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026
The courses at IFHE require various entrance exams like ATIT, ILSAT etc for course admissions. The students must hold the academic qualification and the required research proposal ready for the course (for PhD course). The eligibility for the courses are tested through entrance exam scores such as: ATIT, ILSAT, IBSAT.
The UG courses require candidates to have done intermediate level education in the same streams with at least passing marks.
PG courses require candidates to have completed graduation level exams with passing marks and no backlogs. The English language is mandatory for some courses like MBA.
PhD courses need applicants with at least completed masters level education with a research proposal ready for the interview and presentation round of admissions.
The placements at IFHE are all great in terms of opportunities and future stability of the students. The highest salary package offered at the university is INR 46 LPA, while the average salary package is INR 6 LPA.
