Usually, the admission in the GCIT begins after the National Entrance Examination, like GATE. The college also conducts the entrance exam as well as personal interviews for admitting the students in all course programs. The GCIT offers different courses like B.Tech in CSE (AI and Data Science), B.Tech ECE (VLSI System), and M.Tech in CSE and VLSI System Program. A written test and a personal interview conducted by the college itself for admission to the M.Tech program if any seat is available after the counselling. 

Candidates who are interested in completing an M.Tech degree from GCIT can appear for the GATE, CEETA Counselling, which can start from May 2026 (tentative). Apart from this, the college's expected date for the release of the application forms for the written test can be August 2026.
