The placement process for the students begins in the final year of a particular course. Below is a brief description of all the important points involved in the placement process:
The placement process begins with the companies visiting the University and giving a short introduction about themselves to the students. This includes more information about the work culture and current job vacancies. This helps students to decide whether they want to apply for the particular company or not.
Once the pre-placement talks are over, students who are interested in working in a particular company must appear for the written test. These tests help check the student’s basic abilities, such as logical thinking, numerical ability, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Here, students are given several topics to discuss, and they can be related to current affairs, business, technology, social issues, or general topics. The company representatives will observe how each student speaks, listen to each other, and express their ideas. It also helps check the students' teamwork, confidence, and leadership abilities.
Some subjects require students to go through technical rounds as well. For example, engineering students may be asked about coding, machines, tools, or other core concepts.
The final round is the panel interview, where they will be asked both technical and personal questions. Questions in this round assess the students’ strengths, weaknesses, career goals, and how the student handles pressure or teamwork. The panel also checks students’ personality and communication skills. If the students perform well, they will be selected for the job.
After the placement drive is over, the company prepares the final list of selected students. Those who are chosen receive an offer letter, and it is up to the students to accept or reject the offer.
