

Development Management Institute is a premium institute located in Udyog Bhawan, Patna, Bihar. DMI was established in 2014 by the Government of Bihar under the High Performing Knowledge Institute. The Development Management Institute aims to deliver professional skills in the sector of Development Management. DMI is an autonomous institutional body under the Bihar Government and is also supported by COMFED and JEEVIKA.
Development Management Institute Patna offers its only flagship course, a two-year postgraduate program in development management (PGDM). The postgraduate diploma course is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The program aims to develop students in building career opportunities in development management.
Though DMI is currently running in Udyog Bhawan near East Gandhi Maidan while the new campus of DMI is under final construction and is likely to start functioning soon. Development and Management Institute admission is open for the academic season 2025-27 for the PGDM(DM). Development and Management Institute (DMI) offers its flagship Postgraduate Diploma course in Development Management. Candidates who want to pursue PGDM must have a graduation degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST, OBC candidates) from a recognised university. Applicants must have a valid score card of any national-level management entrance examination, such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT, etc.
Students appearing in the final year of graduation can also apply for the PGDM course offered by DMI. The application process for admission to PGDM will tentatively start from November 2025, and the last date to apply for the PGDM program is April 2026 (Tentative).

DMI offers a two-year Postgraduate Diploma course in Development Management. Candidates applying for the PGDM course must have the following eligibility criteria :
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with at least 50% (45% for the reserved category) marks in aggregate.
Candidates in the final year of their graduation also have the eligibility to apply for PGDM admission, but they have to provide their final year results before the commencement of classes.
Candidates must have a valid score card in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT or equivalent examination. If a candidate's result is awaited, then candidates have to upload their result after declaration on the DMI official admission portal.
Reservation in admission is only for candidates having a Bihar domicile.
