Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) was earlier known as the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology as one of the top national institutions, established in 1968 by the Government of India with the help of the United Nations Development Program, at Chennai. CIPET is now accepting admissions for the academic session 2025-26. This gives students the chance to receive focused technical education in areas like Polymers, Plastics, and Petrochemical Engineering. The CIPET has clear eligibility criteria for its UG, Diploma, and Post-graduate Diploma programs in the year 2025-2026. These requirements aim to provide students have a general knowledge foundation and technical skills to learn more about plastics, polymers and petrochemical technologies.
CIPET Jaipur offers UG programs, like B.Tech in Plastics Engineering. Applicants must have passed Class 12th in Physics, Mathematics and one of the following-Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology or IT from a recognised board.
To pursue a Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT) and a Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT), the candidate must have cleared their 10th standard from a recognised board. The Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT) is a two-year course where the candidate must have a three-year degree, preferably in a Science background of Chemistry, Physics, or related subjects.
