At Christ College Pune, the placement and internship process is organised to help students connect with companies and gain career opportunities. The college invites organisations to conduct campus placement drives through a placement brochure, shared either as a soft copy or a hard copy. Job details are shared with students via Moodle, email, and WhatsApp groups.
Student placement committee members manage the registration process with approval from the placement office and inform the respective mentors. Christ Mentors from different domains such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Business Analytics, Data Science, Business Economics and Soft Skills, conduct training sessions based on the job description given by the company.
Student Placement Representatives collect CVs from the applicants and maintain proper documentation of the hiring process. Companies give pre-placement presentations to students, followed by the recruitment process, which also includes written tests, group discussions and interviews. After selection, offer letters or appointment letters are issued, and students confirm acceptance in the presence of their mentors.
Students who do not want to participate in the placement process have to submit a placement opt out form with the signature of their mentor. Those entering in their family businesses, starting their own ventures, or going for higher studies should submit the relevant documents or admission letters to the placement office after the mentor approval.
This system allows for proper guidance and support to all the students during the placements and internships in an organized way.
