Chitkara University is recognized as one of the top private universities in India, providing a wide array of programs including business administration of all levels, engineering of many specializations, and numerous other subjects, along with using a merit-based admission process, assisting with the admission process via structured admission counseling, and outlining precise eligibility criteria for accepting students into Chitkara University.
For the B.E. program for the graduating class of 2026, there are two pathways FOR Chitkara University course admissions. Route A, for entrance through JEE Mains (National Entrance Exam) and for consideration into this program, must have received an average of at least 60% on their Class XII results (taking into account the results from all four classes that were attempted). Route B is based on total marks of 10+2 in any combination of subjects with a minimum of 70% total average. This route does not require any students to take the entrance exam. An applicant must have passed Class XII in the year 2025 or 2026 to meet the requirements for eligibility and must have been born after October 1 2004.
All admitted candidates into the B.E. program must provide a laptop to Chitkara University. The counselling services are organised after the JEE Mains results are communicated, and all successful applicants will be assigned an allotted seat at that time based upon their preferred selection order, and through verification of applicant documentation.
MBA admissions require a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. Final-year students are also eligible. Selection is based on national-level exams like CAT, MAT, NMAT, XAT or CMAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates who have not taken these exams must appear for the Chitkara University Test, followed by GD and PI.
Healthcare, Nursing, and Allied Health programs have specific criteria, typically requiring 50-60% marks in relevant subjects. Some programs such as BPT or M.Pharm, require NEET or GPAT qualifications. B.Sc Nursing applicants must be registered nurses with a minimum of 55% marks and at least one year of work experience.
For Design and B.Arch programs students need valid UCEED or NATA scores along with personal interviews. Other undergraduate programs, such as BCA, BAJMC, Psychology and ITEP require at least 50% in Class XII and interviews where applicable.
