Below is a brief description of the placement policies related to the University. It helps students understand how the placement cell works at this University.
The Corporate Resource Centre of the University sends an invitation to the Companies or Organisations, along with all the relevant information related to the students.
The placement team classifies companies based on employment sector, salary packages, brand value of the company, and what has been the past record of recruitment at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Shahu Ji Maharaj University.
The CRC asks the companies to share their job description, job announcement, details of the organisation, job profile, salary details, selection process, minimum qualification required, probation period, documents required for joining, tentative date of joining, etc.
Next, the Placement cell will suggest two or three dates to companies and organisations, so that they can conduct on-campus or off-campus placement drives.
On the assigned or allotted dates, companies will conduct tests or interviews according to their recruitment process. Furthermore, the placement cell will conduct mock GD, PI, and PD sessions two days before the placement drive, as it will help build up the students' confidence.
After the placement drive is over, the companies must give the final list of the selected candidates. They must also provide the offer letters to the Corporate Resource Centre and not directly to the students.
Students who are in their final year are eligible to participate in the placement drive.
Students have to ensure that they have to report on time. Those students who are late will not be allowed to take part in the placement drive.
All the students who are participating in the placement drive must meet the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the company’s job description.
The University follows the One Student One offer policy, and students must maintain 75% marks in attendance to appear for the campus placement.
If the student’s name appears on the final shortlist after the Company’s selection process through the placement cell, then it would be considered as an offer to the student.
