Calcutta Business School (CBS) provides a two-year full-time AICTE-approved PGDM course that prepares students to take up leadership positions at the management level. Applicants should secure at least 50 % marks in a Graduation degree from a recognised university; final year students can also take admission, but they must submit the documents to prove their eligibility by September 30, 2025. Based on a valid score in the CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, JEE-MAT, CMAT, or GMAT, Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI) are then conducted after the CBS Aptitude Test (CBSAT).

The selection process is also holistic, and the institute takes into consideration entrance exam scores, academic records, work exposure and performance in GD-PI as well as leadership potential and communication effectiveness. The final selection is based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes entrance exam score, academic credentials, performance in GD‑PI, and qualitative factors such as work experience and extracurricular involvement. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting, and the decision of the CBS Admissions Committee is final.

Calcutta Business School (CBS) received a complete 100% placement record in its PGDM passing out batch, whose placement cell organises campus selection process, corporate visits, as well as student preparatory reach out on process. High-achieving students are recognised through performance-linked awards, with INR 25,000 granted to both the first and second toppers in each trimester. CBS also runs a Tuition Waiver Scheme, under which four selected students who have secured at least 75% in their undergraduate degree and 85th percentile or above in CAT/XAT are required to pay only 40% of the tuition fees. To retain this benefit, recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.0 throughout the course. In addition, CBS provides merit-based financial assistance based on graduation marks, ranging from INR 1,00,000 for scores between 55–59.99% to INR 3,00,000 for 70% and above, with the amount disbursed in six instalments and adjusted against tuition fees.
