The college is known for its M.Tech (Master of Technology), which is a two-year program divided into four semesters. Students can choose to pursue this M.Tech program in Industrial Safety specialisation. BIT Raipur offers this program with an affordable fee for students who want to pursue higher studies in engineering.

The tuition fee for the M.Tech program at BIT Raipur is INR 32,400 per semester. However, the total course fee will include other charges such as sports fee, library fee, caution money deposit, uniform charges, Transportation fee and Hostel fees for the student availing hostel benefits.

The annual intake for the M.Tech program is 18 students. Admission to the M.Tech program is done through the GATE exam or through industry sponsorship, as per the rules set by the Directorate of Technical Education, Raipur and CSVTU, Bhilai. Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT), Raipur organises facilities for hostel and transport, optionally to accommodate students from different locations and those living outside Raipur. The institute offers different hostel accommodations for girls and boys, with the main target being a comfortable stay. The meals, like breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, tea, and dinner, are served to hostel students. They also get the internet, newspapers, security, and hostel staff or a warden. The hostel fee is 34,000 per semester, inclusive of dining charges and a refundable caution deposit of 1,500 is to be paid by students as well. 

Besides, the institute runs a bus service for students and staff commuting from lots of cities and towns nearby. The transport covers the main routes of Raipur, Bhilai, Rajim, Mana Basti, Abhanpur, and Kendri, enabling the users to arrange their daily commute comfortably. The bus service is separate from the hostel, and the fees for transportation depend on the different locations of boarding.
