Amity University Mohali Admission Overview

Admissions at Amity University Mohali are conducted entirely online ensuring a smooth and transparent application process. Candidates can apply for UG, PG, Integrated and PhD programmes through the official website by paying a non-refundable application fee of INR 1500. Selection is based on eligibility criteria, academic performance and an online faculty interaction. Direct admission is available for eligible UG applicants with 80% or above in Class 12 while UG law programmes require a valid CLAT score. Foreign and NRI candidates can also apply subject to AIU equivalence and English proficiency requirements.

Amity University Mohali sets different programme specific eligibility criteria in order to secure academic preparedness of students from different disciplines. In the case of undergraduate programmes candidates are supposed to have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with the minimum aggregate requirements varying between 50% and 60% depending on the course. Typically, Science and engineering programmes require students to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology whereas B.Tech programmes demand a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM from students. UG Law programmes (BA LL.B / BBA LL.B) require 50% in Class 12 with admissions primarily through CLAT.

For postgraduate programmes applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Professional programmes such as MCA require a background in Mathematics at the 10+2 or graduation level. PhD admissions require a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with preference given to candidates qualified in UGC/CSIR/NET or equivalent fellowships. Eligibility norms for foreign and NRI candidates remain aligned with Indian applicants subject to AIU equivalence and English proficiency requirements.
