Amity University, known as the best private university in Gurgaon, Haryana, was established in 2010. Amity University Gurugram is a Research & Innovation driven university. The university provides a 1.3 Gbps Wi-Fi-enabled smart campus and conducts a 7-day compulsory military training camp. The university offered various placement data across various domains during the 2025 placement process. There are a total of 422 companies, including 147 Fortune 500 and MNCs, and 275 national companies. The remainder of recruiters engaged per company across the career fair consisted of 280 first-time recruiters and 142 repeat recruiters at the university.
When grouped by industry sector, the companies attending the career fair in each sector as largest number of companies (88 total companies) participating in the career fair were in the IT/ITES/Business Sector followed by Aviation Industry with (44 total), Services Industry with (43 total), Technology Industry with (40 total), and Consulting/Advisory Services with (37 total) companies. Admissions to the Amity University are ongoing, as candidates can apply through the official website of the university before the last date. Amity University offers a wide range of programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. However, Admissions to the university are based on the entrance exams. For B.Tech programmes offered by the Amity School of Engineering & Technology and related institutes, the university accepts JEE (Main), national or state engineering entrance examinations. Admission to the Bachelor of Architecture programme requires a valid NATA score or JEE Paper 2 qualification.
For MBA programmes offered by Amity Business School, candidates can apply with scores from CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, NMAT, or CMAT. The university also considers national or state-level MBA entrance examinations and AMCAT for certain specialisations. Most MBA programmes additionally require a Personal Interview. Many postgraduate programmes, such as M.Phil Clinical Psychology, require a university entrance test followed by a Personal Interview. However, other PG programmes across law, health science, IT, and management require entrance tests or interviews as part of the selection process. Amity University Gurgaon Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026
Admission to the Amity University is based on certain criteria which must be fulfilled by the candidate at the time of admission. A candidate must be required to complete his/her class 12th from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate percentage depending on the chosen programme. However, for the higher level of programme, such as a postgraduate programme requires a graduation degree under any discipline; however, for some courses, a candidate requires a bachelor's degree under a preferred discipline. For the PhD programme, a candidate must hold a master's degree from a relevant stream.
Admission to these programmes requires a minimum aggregate percentage, which depends on the chosen programme under any specialisation, with a minimum of 45% to 60% required across all the programmes. The overall eligibility criteria for admission to Amity University are as follows:
Undergraduate Programmes
For admission to the Amity University in an undergraduate programme, a candidate must complete his/her 10+2 (Class XII) from a recognised board. Minimum aggregate between 45% and 60%, depending on the course.
However, some Specific subject requirements, such as PCM or PCB, for science and technical programmes.
Certain professional courses may require a valid entrance examination score.
Courses like BBA (Hons./Research) require a minimum of 55% in Class XII, while B.Tech (CSE/AI & ML, etc.) requires at least 60% in PCM along with a valid national/state engineering entrance score
Postgraduate Programmes
For Admission in the PG programme, a candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university. However, a Minimum 50%–55% aggregate marks, depending on the programme.
Courses like MBA (Marketing/Finance/HR) require entrance exam scores, a Personal Interview (PI), or relevant work experience. etc., requires graduation with at least 50% along with an entrance exam/AMCAT score and PI.
Courses like M.Tech in (Computer Science & Engineering) require a B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc in a relevant discipline with a minimum aggregate percentage of marks.
Doctoral Level Programmes
For a higher level of education, a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised university. Minimum 55% aggregate marks are required at the time of admission to the university.
Selection through an entrance test and/or a personal interview is required for the PhD programme.
Programmes like M.Phil Clinical Psychology require an MA/M.Sc in Psychology with at least 55% marks along with a qualifying entrance test and interview.
