The Training and Placement Department assists the students in pursuing a successful career by acquiring the necessary skills for placement. The department also provides career guidance and makes the students aware of the latest training courses and job prospects. The Placement Cell is significant in equipping the students with knowledge and skills to prepare them for a bright professional future through various activities related to placements and careers.
The Training and Placement Department engages in counselling and guiding the students and placing them in suitable organisations as per the current requirements of the industry. The department acts as a liaison between the students and the organisations, serving the interests of both parties. In order to enhance this process, the Career Resource Centres (CRCs), which possess expert counsellors familiar with the industry trends and career prospects, assist the students in the spheres of placements, entrepreneurship, and further studies.

Registration and General Guidelines
All students interested in campus placements must register with the Placement Department before participating in placement activities.
The institute follows a âOne Student, One Offerâ policy for placements.
CSE/IT students who are already placed can still appear for product-based companies offering higher salary packages under the âDream Status Companyâ category.
Students placed in a product-based or core company will not be allowed to participate in further placement drives.
Students from core engineering branches who are placed in software companies may still attend interviews for core companies.
Students may receive multiple offers only in situations where companies delay announcing results.
Direct communication with company officials is not allowed. All communication must be done through the Placement Department.
The institute may revise or update placement policies whenever necessary for all students.
Eligibility and Registration
Students who fall under the category of final year full-time B.Tech, MBA and Diploma are able to take part in campus placements.
Students with academic backlogs, fees owed, or who have opted out of placements are not eligible.
Students who are eligible for placements must register and provide written approval to the Training and Placement (T&P) Office.
Resume Submission and Verification
Eligible students must submit a soft copy of their resume along with a photograph to the Training and Placement (T&P) office.
All the details provided in the resume must be true. In case any of the facts provided are found to be false, the candidate would be disqualified from the process.
Application Rules
Applications for all jobs should be sent only via the Training and Placement (T&P) Department.
The total number of companies that students may apply to in the placement process is restricted to five, and a warning will be issued on the fourth application.
Further applications may only be made with permission in writing from both the Faculty Placement Coordinator and the Head of Department (HOD), limited to two more applications.
Withdrawal Policy
Withdrawal of the application is possible only prior to the deadline stated by the company. No withdrawals are accepted after the stated deadline.
Each pre-deadline withdrawal will add one more application limit for the student.
The student is eligible to reapply to the withdrawn firm, provided that the student has not exceeded his or her limit and that the deadline is still open.
Placement Process
Companies receive invitations along with Placement Information Forms containing college and candidate details.
Companies submit their recruitment information, and placement slots are scheduled mutually.
The college arranges travel, accommodation, and logistical support for recruiters.
Pre-placement talks and recruitment activities are organised as per the recruiterâs requirements.
Placement Offer Guidelines
A student shall be permitted to choose only one offer if the salary offered exceeds the particular limit (B.Tech/ MBA: INR 2LPA and Diploma: INR 1.2 LPA).
In case more than one offer comes to a student on the same day, the final selection shall be made according to the previously submitted preference of the student.
There is a Dream Company guideline where a student gets another chance at placement, provided he/she fulfills certain criteria.
Acceptance/rejection of a job offer from the selected company should be made by the student within 24 hours via the T&P department. Non-compliance will terminate their placement process.
Students Conduct
The students must have an attendance rate of at least 75 %for their lectures and preparation sessions, such as PDP, aptitude, and technical training.
The students should attend all placement selection procedures. Non-attendance would invite a warning or penalty, or even suspension from placements.
Any sort of impersonation or cheating will cause immediate disqualification from placement proceedings, along with other actions.
The students should not apply or participate in any company interview on their own during the placement process.
Students Responsibilities During Placement
The students have to come up with a formal dress code while attending the placements.
There shouldnât be any dues pending before attending the placement process.
It is advisable that the students share their updated contact numbers with the T&P department.
Attending the interviews with hall tickets and college ID cards is essential.
The students should prepare themselves thoroughly for the profiles of the companies and roles.
