Students interested in admission to Al Azhar College of Engineering and Technology must be eligible for admission to the B.Tech course. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission are listed below:
For General Engineering courses such as B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, etc, students must have secured 45% marks in Class 12 conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an equivalent examination with Physics and Maths as mandatory subjects and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology as one of the optional subjects. Additionally, students must have valid scores in the Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala.
To be admitted through the Management Quota, students must be an Indian citizen and must be 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2025. Along with these criteria, candidates also must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% marks with Physics, Math as required subjects, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology as one of the optional subjects. Aspirants must also have valid scores in the KEAM exam.

The top recruiters include Avodha, Comstar, Infosys, Dana, Polyhose, etc. Placement data for 2025 is not published yet on the official website however, the placement data for 2021 shows numerous companies gave job offers for positions like TTC, Production Assistant, Trainee, including DANA India Pvt LTD, WIND Care, Motherson India Pvt LTD, VALEO India Pvt LTD, RIKUN Manufacturing India Pvt LTD, Flex India Private LTD, Sanmina SCI Technology, Ucal Fuel, E G Innovations, and Emphasis Systems LTD.
A total of 240 students—190 from Al Azhar College of Engineering and Technology and 50 from other colleges—participated in this placement drive out of the 305 students who registered. Job offers were made to eighty-two students, of which fifty-nine were polytechnic, and nine B.Tech students received offers. The remaining 14 candidates were from different universities. Teachers, staff, and organizing teams worked very hard to make the placement drive a success.
