TNEA 2025 Counselling Update: Seat Allotment Result Of Round 1 Declared

The tentative seat allotment result for round 1 of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) has been declared. Candidates who have participated in the counselling process can check their results now on the  official website tneaonline.org.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has declared the tentative seat allotment result on its official website. Candidates should confirm their seat allotment preference between July 17 and July 18, 2025. The final allotment letters to the candidates will be issued on July 19, 2025 and students must report to the designated centres between July 19 and July 23, 2025. Also, candidates who want to opt for seat upgrades will receive their revised allotment letters on July 26, 2025. Round 1 was held for candidates who have TNEA ranks starting from 1 and ending at 39145.

Candidates Can Follow the Steps Below to Check their Counselling Result

Step 1: Candidates will have to first visit the official website of tneaonline.org.

Step 2: After visiting the website, log in with their registered email address and password.

Step 3: The candidate will be able to see their allotted seat results. 

Step 4: If the candidate wants to confirm their seat allotment result, they will get an option of seat confirmation, and they have to click on it.

Step 5: If the candidate wants to opt out of seat upgradation, they will have to choose the seat upgradation option. 

Step 6: After confirming their choice, they are required to take a printout of the confirmation page for future use.

Important Points to Keep in Mind During the Counselling Process

• TNEA 2025 Candidates who want to keep their current seat allocation and have selected the "Accept and Join" option must download their TNEA allotment letter and report to the college to complete the further admission process by paying the required fees.

• If a candidate is not able to complete the admission process within the given timeline, it will result in the cancellation of the allotment order.

• Allotment letters can be downloaded by logging into the official TNEA website and entering the candidate’s registered email ID and password.
