VGU Jaipur Becomes Rajasthan's First Google Agentic AI University

Learn How This Milestone Creates New Opportunities for Students

Artificial Intelligence is growing at a very fast pace in today’s world. Now, it is more moving from simple automation tools to advanced systems. AI is capable of reasoning, planning and working on complex tasks. This advanced form of AI is called Agentic AI and it is now being used in many industries to improve speed, decision-making and innovation.

Considering this, Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur has taken an important step by becoming Rajasthan’s first Google Agentic AI University. This has been made possible through Google’s Digital Campus on Google Cloud (GCDC) 4.0, using technologies like Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise Edu.

With this partnership, VGU is now among the leading universities in India that are adopting Google’s advanced AI system in higher education. The main goal is to connect classroom learning with real industry needs. Students at VGU Jaipur also get a chance to earn certifications and explore new technologies that are being used in the real world. This way, students can be better prepared for jobs and future technologies.

What does Google Agentic AI University Mean?

Google’s Digital Campus on Google Cloud (GCDC) 4.0 is a modern learning program that brings cloud computing and AI directly into university education.

Unlike regular industry collaborations that only include workshops or guest lectures, this program allows universities to completely integrate Google’s learning tools into everyday classroom teaching. This helps students to learn AI in a more practical way, and this collaboration is supporting an AI-powered learning environment.

One of the key elements of this program is Agentic AI. It refers to smart systems that can make decisions, use digital tools and complete multi-step tasks with minimal human involvement.

As more companies start using AI in areas like software development, customer support, cybersecurity and data analysis. This means the need for skilled AI professionals is also increasing. Through this initiative, VGU Google Agentic AI University gives students proper access to Google’s real industry platforms and helps them to go beyond just learning, instead implementing how AI is actually used in the real world.

Earn Industry Certifications with Academic Learning

One of the biggest benefits of this program is that students can earn globally recognised certifications.

Students can study different Google Cloud learning paths such as Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Cloud Engineering, Generative AI and Agentic AI. These courses give them a chance to earn Google Certifications that are supervised by a person and accepted internationally.

The program mixes regular classroom teaching with practical training using tools like Google Cloud, Google Skills Boost and Gemini Enterprise. This helps students to build technical skills along with certificates that improve their chances of getting good jobs in the technical field or industry.

Preparing Students for the Future of AI Technology

A key part of this collaboration is the Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR) programme. This specialised learning pathway first helps students to understand the fundamentals of AI agents and then gradually guides them through the process of designing, building, deploying and scaling enterprise-ready AI applications that can be used in companies, using Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK).

As majorly organizations has started using AI to automate their daily work, the demand for people who can build and manage these systems is growing in fields like IT, finance, healthcare, manufacturing and digital services.

Instead of focusing only on using AI for productivity, the program helps students to gain insights into how enterprise AI solutions are developed and applied into real-world settings. This also improves learning through practical, hands-on experience.

Expanding on a Strong Educational Base

The collaboration with Google further strengthens Vivekananda Global University Jaipur and its ongoing focus on innovation, research and industry-based learning. It also supports the university’s growing reputation as a leading institution in AI and future technology education in Rajasthan.

VGU, which holds an NAAC A+ grade, has been continuously expanding its work in emerging technologies through various AI and innovation initiatives. These include AI and Emerging Technology Lab, a startup incubation centre, interdisciplinary research activities and strong industry partnerships. All of these efforts create a learning environment that goes beyond traditional classroom teaching.

The university has also earned recognition from the Data Science Council of America (DASCA) and this accreditation further highlights its focus on data science and artificial intelligence education.

By combining its diverse academic structure and strong placement support, the Google partnership also strengthens VGU’s growing innovation system instead of being just a separate initiative.

Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry

Companies and Employers are looking for candidates who can apply practical skills in areas such as cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity and data-driven decision-making.

Through GCDC 4.0, students get hands-on exposure to technologies that are already used in global companies. The program also offers opportunities to join Google-supported hackathons, developer events, expert sessions and group projects, helping students to apply what they learn in class to real-world problems.

This practical approach to studying concepts prepares students for the workplace by combining academic knowledge with hands-on experience and industry-recognised skills.
