Galgotias Students win big at Apple's Swift Student Challenge 2025

Apple organises a prestigious global competition every year called “The Swift Student Challenge”, offering budding developers a global platform for showcasing their innovative projects with the use of Swift Playgrounds. Young and talented developers who want to demonstrate their innovative ability and technical excellence can apply to this highly prestigious competition.

Other than recognising the creative thinking and problem-solving skills of students, the “Swift Student Challenge” also offers an interesting and exclusive opportunity to become a part of Apple's Technology Ecosystem, which helps students gain recognition globally. 

Under the guidance of the CEO of Galgotias University, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, the university is excelling and breaking new ground every day in Global Innovation and Academic Excellence. Recently, 10 students from Galgotias University’s IOS Development Centre have emerged as winners in Apple’s prestigious Swift Student Challenge 2025. Only 350 winners worldwide were selected from thousands of entries. This extraordinary achievement puts Galgotia’s students on the map of International App Development Talent.

This highly prestigious annual global competitive platform, powered by Apple, motivates young developers to build innovative projects by using Apple’s Swift Playgrounds. It gives recognition to the students who exhibit exceptional creativity, technical skills and a mindset for solving real-world problems with the help of technology. Winning this challenge can open doors for students to an exclusive learning experience and insights into Apple's exceptional ecosystem.

The projects which were won by Galgotias students were an excellent example of how technology can be used for social impact. The projects, namely Tide Explorer Visualisation (The Gravitation Pull of the Moon on Tides), AlgoMaze (Transforms algorithm learning into a more interesting maze experience), MorseCode (Modernised Morse Code Language into a fun yet insightful gamified learning application), Pronounce Right (Gives real time pronunciation feedback) and Elementum Reimagined (The periodic table as an inclusive digital journey through chemical elements and their bonds) won big at this mega event organised by Apple.

The students also focused on creating health and wellness solutions for the welfare of common people. Such innovations are stress relief companion that provides guided relaxation tools for coping with anxiety. These projects include Svaraa and MotionEase.

Furthermore, applications created with the help of GIT commands like GIT Tales also dominated the competition. A mention-worthy application that may revolutionise the Agriculture sector for good is CropCare, which equips farmers with unique digital tools to track crop health.
