The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 has been postponed by the NBEMS, which was earlier scheduled for 15 June 2025. This is due to the decision of the Supreme Court of India mandating that the examination be conducted in a single shift to ensure fairness, transparency, and uniformity for all the candidates appearing in the NEET-PG exam. The conducting authorities will soon release new dates for the NEET PG Exam 2025 on the official website.
Why NEET PG Exam Postponed?
The Supreme Court, in its order on 30 May 2025, highlighted that conducting the NEET PG exam in two shifts was unfair due to possible disparities in difficulty levels across shifts. The Court ruled that normalisation processes could not guarantee absolute fairness and therefore directed NBEMS to hold the exam in a single shift.
As a result, the board has to arrange new test centers to accommodate all candidates in one session. They also need to arrange enhanced security arrangements, including the deployment of signal jammers and advanced surveillance systems, to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
Due to these logistical challenges, NBEMS has postponed the exam until further notice. The new exam date, along with the release of admit cards and city intimation slips, will be announced soon on its official websites (nbe.edu.in or natbaord.edu.in).
