Schools Set to Reopen from September 10
In addition to the exams, there is good news for the institutions. The Directorate of School Education, Jammu, has asked all government and private schools to prepare for the start of schools following a closure of 11 days due to an unpredictable weather. If conditions are good for students, offline classes are expected to resume from September 10, 2025.
Heads of Institutions (HOIs) and teachers must report back for duty from today (September 8) to do a safety and securityaudit of the school. This is a necessary step for the school to ensure that classrooms, playgrounds and buildings are structurally safe for students to return.
What Students Should Do Next
JKBOSE has advised all students to regularly check theofficial website for updates and to arrive at exam centres on time despite possible local disruptions. Schools have also been instructed to assist students in flood-affected areas by sharing transportation updates and revised notices.
As the region works to recover from the recent natural calamity, the dual developments of exams resuming and schools preparing to reopen bring a sense of relief to thousands of students and families.
