The MAT exam will be held today by the AIMA, on 20 July 2025, in the CBT mode. For this exam, the last day to register was on 14 July 2025, and the admit card was published on 17 July 2025. AIMA organizes the exam four times a year in different modes, including Paper-Based Test (PBT) and Computer-Based Test (CBT).

The MAT Exam (Management Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance exam that is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to MBA and other management programs in India. Through this exam, a candidate's analytical thinking, mathematical abilities, and language comprehension are tested.

How To Register For The MAT Exam 2025?

Follow the guide given below in order to successfully register for the MAT exam 2025:

Step 1: Visit the official MAT website: mat.aima.in.

Step 2: Look for the ‘New Candidate Registration’ option.

Step 3: Create an account on the website by entering the required details.

Step 4: Fill the MAT application form with the required details.

Step 6: Select the preferred exam mode (either PBT or Computer-Based Test). 

Step 7: Choose the preferred test cities from the list.

Step 8: Upload the required documents.

Step 9: Pay the application fee online via debit/credit card, net banking, UPI, or wallet.

Step 10: Carefully review all the entered information before submission, as changes may not be allowed after.

Step 11: Submit the application form and download and save the confirmation page and payment receipt for future reference.

Step 12: Once released, download the admit card from the online portal.

Note: To register for the MAT exam in the CBT mode, candidates had to pay a registration fee of INR 2200. The registration fee is the same for the PBT mode as well. Candidates can also choose to opt for a combined (PBT+CBT) mode by paying an extra fee of INR 1600 in addition to INR 2200. 

MAT Exam 2025: Exam Day Guidelines And Tips

For a smooth MAT exam process, candidates must follow the rules and guidelines and utilize the tips given below:

  • Focus on revising important formulas and shortcuts rather than learning new material.

  • Get familiar with the exam center location before the exam to avoid last-minute confusion.

  • Carry the essential documents, like two printed copies of the MAT admit card and a valid government-issued photo ID.

  • Carry a transparent water bottle.

  • Report at the scheduled time as indicated on the admit card.

  • Electronic gadgets like mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited.

  • Do not bring any study materials or stationery other than permitted items.
