Assam NEET UG Counselling 2025 Live Updates: Registration Begins From July 24 for MBBS and BDS Admissions

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has officially announced that registration for the first round of NEET UG 2025 counselling will begin on July 24, 2025, and will last until July 29, 2025. This counselling process is for students seeking admission into MBBS and BDS courses in government medical and dental colleges across Assam. The entire process will be conducted online through the official website dme.assam.gov.in. 

In Assam, 85% of the seats are reserved for students with Assam domicile, while the remaining 15% are filled through the All India Quota (AIQ).

• No offline counselling will be conducted; therefore, all steps must be completed online

• Candidates from the OBC and MOBC must apply under the General category

• A separate notice will be issued for NRI quota seats later

Assam NEET UG Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To participate in Assam NEET UG counselling, candidates must:

• Have qualified for NEET UG 2025

• Be a permanent resident of Assam (or their parents must have lived in Assam for at least 20 years)

• Have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English

• Be at least 17 years old 

• Be listed in the Assam State Provisional Merit List

Note:- that Candidates applying under special categories, such as Freedom Fighters, Martyrs of the Assam Movement, Ex-Servicemen, Defence Personnel, and Sports Quota, must attend physical document verification on July 18 at the DME office in Guwahati.
