University of Delhi has released a notification regarding the multiple entries and exits during the Undergraduate programme. As the per the New Education policy 2020, students already have this privelege to decide when they want to drop out their bachelor’s course. Now, DU has made some implementations in the policy and give more flexibility for entry and exit. 

The notification has been released on the official website of DU on 29th July 2025, which clearly states that with decided credits during the academic year, students can exit from the UG course in Semester II, Semester IV, Semester VI and Semester VIII. 

Multiple Exits as Per the Notice

As per the notification, the new policy will be implemented as part of NEP 2022 according to the guidelines given by UGC for the UGCF 2022. According to the new implementations, students can exit from the course at the end of every even semester. Details regarding the multiple entries are given below:

Multiple Entries as Per the Notice

With the exit points, DU also reframed its multiple entry points through which thousands of students can restart their studies after dropping out due to personal reasons or anything else. Students are allowed to use their earned credits for re-entry into the course after 7 years of exit. Here are the details for Re-entries:
