The University of Delhi (DU) has collaborated on a multi-year partnership with global technology leader Google Cloud to prepare students for a digital future. The organization will stand with DU students training them with advanced skills to enter the various jobs in AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital literacy.
Alignment with the National Education Policy 2020
The partnership serves the vision set by India's National Education Policy-2020. The NEP emphasizes that skills, technology, and empowerment are the new face of modern education.
The Registrar Dr. Vikas Gupta emphasized that the collaboration has been instituted with an aim to enhance the career possibilities for students by aligning education with the needs of industry. He further stated that Delhi University has already instituted various courses as per NEP 2020, and that this collaboration with Google Cloud will bring great value by imparting future-ready skills to students.
Students to Get Training and Certification
Under the program, students will have access to industry-recognized certifications that validate their expertise in core technological domains such as AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. This initiative includes hands-on labs, continuous assessments, and specialized Google workshops that provide practical, real-world learning experiences beyond conventional classroom teaching.
Students will also participate in hackathons held on campus, which foster innovation, problem-solving, and competitive skills in a collaborative environment. These activities intend to hone their abilities in emerging technologies and help them gain confidence in applying theoretical knowledge practically.

Shashi Sreedharan who is the Managing Director of Google Cloud India, said that technology can bring equality.
