The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has started the recruitment drive for filling up the 3644 Police Constable, Jail Warder, and Fireman posts in Tamil Nadu. The registration process will start from 22 August 2025 and will conclude on 21 September 2025. Applicants looking to apply for various posts will have to visit the official website of the TNUSRB.
Candidates who are preparing to apply for these posts will be required to pay an application fee of INR 250. The payment can be made available payment options through debit card, credit card, or net banking. Applications that are submitted without the payment of the fee will not be accepted.

A total of 3644 vacancies are to be filled by this recruitment drive and the post-wise distribution of vacancies are as follows-
Police Constable (Grade II) – 2833 posts
Jail Warder (Grade II)
Prison and Correctional Department – 180 posts (142 male, 38 female)
Fireman – Fire and Rescue Services – 631 posts

Steps To Register For The TNUSRB 2025
Step 1: Applicants who are interested in applying must visit tnusrb.tn.gov.in from a browser.
Step 2: On the homepage, find the Police Constable 2025 notification and click on it
Step 3: The applicants will have to register themselves by creating a new account by entering basic details like name, mobile number, and email ID.
Step 4: Fill out the application form by entering personal, educational, and contact details carefully.
Step 5: Upload the scanned copies of the photo, signature, and required certificates (like SSLC mark sheet, community certificate, etc.).
Step 6: Applicants will have to pay the application fee by online payment methods like debit card, credit card, or net banking to pay the fee
Step 7: Review all the details filled and click on the final submit button.
Selection Process
The selection process for TNUSRB Police Constable Recruitment 2025 is simple and clear. The candidates are required to take a written exam conducted by the TNUSRB. This exam evaluates the basic knowledge and skills of the candidates. Once they qualify for this exam they are called for the physical measurement test. In this test the height and chest of the candidates are checked according to the prescribed criteria. After that, candidates will have to take part in the physical efficiency test which consists of running and other fitness tasks. The last stage of the recruitment process is document verification where all the documents of the candidates are verified by the authorities.
