The All India Management Association (AIMA) has officially opened the registration window for the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) September 2025. The aspiring MBA candidates across India can register for the MAT exam online at the official MAT website.

The registration for MAT for the September session started from 23 July 2025 and will be available till mid-September, with deadlines diverging with the mode of examination. Registration for the MAT Paper-Based Test (PBT) will close by 15th September 2025, whereas for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), it will remain open till 22nd September 2025

The MAT exam is scheduled to be held on 21 September 2025 (PBT) and 28 September 2025 (CBT); candidates should register and pay the fee before the deadlines for securing their slots.

How to Apply for the MAT 2025 Exam?

Below are the essential steps candidates need to follow to successfully register:

Step 1: Visit the Official MAT Website: Go to the official AIMA MAT exam portal at https://mat.aima.in/.

Step 2: Create a New Account / Login: New candidates must register by creating an account with a valid email ID and mobile number. Existing candidates can log in using their credentials.

Step 3: Fill in the Application Form: Carefully enter all required personal, educational, and contact information as per instructions. It is important to provide accurate details since edits are generally not allowed after submission.

Step 4: Upload Scanned Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other required documents as per specifications mentioned on the site.

Step 5: Pay the Application Fee Online: The application fee must be paid online through debit/credit card, net banking, UPI, or digital wallets like Paytm. Payment confirmation is mandatory for submission success.

Step 6: Review and Submit: Check the filled application form thoroughly for any mistakes before submission. Once submitted, no corrections are typically allowed.

Step 7: Download Confirmation and Admit Card: After successful registration and payment, download and save the confirmation page. Admit cards will be available for download on the MAT site a few days prior to the exam date.

Application Fees for MAT 2025

The application fees for the MAT exam depend on the mode of the exam opted by the candidates. Candidates are required to make the payment online, which is non-refundable. Also, those who want to appear in both modes need to pay the combined fee.

Documents Required for MAT Registration

Candidates should keep the following documents ready for uploading during the form filling:

  • A recent passport-sized photograph

  • Scanned signature

  • Educational certificates (to fill in academic details.

  • Valid ID proof (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, etc.)

Important Information for Candidates

  • MAT admit cards for PBT will be available from  18 September 2025, and those for CBT from 25 September 2025.

  • Eligibility criteria include graduates from any discipline and final-year students pursuing bachelor’s degrees.

  • MAT scores are accepted by over 600 B-Schools across India and remain valid for one year.

  • The exam will consist of five sections with a total of 150 questions and is conducted over a two-hour period.
