NEET PG Counselling 2025: MCC Set To Start The Counselling Soon. Know Details About It Here

The NEET PG counselling 2025 is scheduled to start next month in September 2025, after the release of the results. The NEET PG result is expected to be declared on 3 September 2025. Once the results are declared, the counselling process will be started for medical graduates looking to take admission in MD, MS, and other postgraduate courses.

NEET PG counselling is the process through which medical graduates choose their postgraduate seats. It starts after the NEET PG results are announced. Students register online and fill in their choices for courses and colleges. Seats are allotted based on rank, category of the candidate, and availability. It consists of multiple rounds, and if a student gets a seat, they are required to report to the college within a specific time. The counselling process is handled by the Medical Counselling Committee for All India Quota and by state authorities for state quota.

How to Apply for NEET PG 2025 Counselling Process?

The Medical Counselling Committee handles the counselling process for the 50 per cent All India Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges and for all seats in Deemed/Central Universities and other institutions. The remaining 50 per cent of state quota seats are managed by respective states.

Step 1: Register Online

• Visit the official MCC website of NEET PG 2025 for the All India Quota.

• Fill in your personal and academic details.

• Pay the counselling fee.

Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking

• Select your preferred courses and colleges.

• Lock your choices before the deadline.

Step 3: Round 1 Seat Allotment

• Seats are allotted based on your rank, choices, and category.

• Check the result and download the allotment letter.

Step 4: Reporting to the respective college

• If allotted a seat students should report to the college with documents.

• Complete admission formalities.

Step 5: Round 2 Counselling Process

• If not satisfied or not allotted a seat students can participate in Round 2.

• Repeat choice filling and locking.

Step 6: Mop-Up Round

• It is for candidates who did not get a seat in earlier rounds.

• Fresh registration may be required.

Step 7: Stray Vacancy Round

• It is the final chance to get a leftover seat.

• It is conducted by respective colleges.
