The Karnataka Examinations Authority or KEA has officially opened the registration window for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2025. Starting today, September 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, eligible candidates can apply online for the Assistant Professor post in universities and colleges across Karnataka.

During the registration period from September 1 to September 18, 2025, candidates will have the opportunity to apply for the post. Remember, if the time exceeds, candidates won't be able to apply after the last date. 

KSET is a state-level eligibility test conducted to determine the qualification of candidates for Assistant Professor roles in Karnataka’s higher education institutions. The exam consists of two papers:

  • Paper I: General teaching and research aptitude

  • Paper II: Subject-specific questions based on the candidate’s post-graduate discipline

KSET Registration 2025: Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for KSET 2025, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognized university with at least 55% marks for the General category and 50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender candidates

  • Provisional Eligibility: Final year Master's students or those who expect results can apply provisionally. They need to produce evidence of qualification within two years of the result announcement to get the eligibility certificate

  • Subject Relevance: The applicants should have appeared in the subject of their post-graduation.

KSET Registration 2025: How to Apply

Step 1: Visit the KEA official portal. The link is provided here for easy access

Step 2: The website will be in the Kannada language. To change the language, go to the extreme right side, where you will find a language box.

Step 3: Click on the preferred language, usually English, and your language will be changed

Step 4: Click on the ā€œKSET 2025 Registrationā€ link

Step 5: Complete ā€œNew Registrationā€ using your name, email ID, and mobile number

Step 6: Log in and fill in personal, academic, and subject details

Step 7: Upload the required documents and pay the application fee

Step 8: Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference

KSET Registration 2025: Exam Centers and Subjects

KSET 2025 will be held at various centers in Karnataka for 33 subjects. The candidate can opt for the desired center while registering.

KEA has assured that all the technical problems earlier facing the registration portal are now resolved. The system is working seamlessly, and candidates are urged to start their application process forthwith.
