A large-scale police recruitment drive is expected soon in Gujarat, with an estimated 36,000 vacancies. To assist candidates preparing for written and physical exams, Rashtriya Raksha Shakti University near Lavad village in Gandhinagar has introduced weekend training sessions at affordable fees. These expert-led classes began on November 1, 2025, spanning four Saturdays, with additional weekend courses scheduled for December.

The program offers focused training in subjects including Mathematics, Logic, Geography, and physical fitness tests aligned with NCERT and GCERT syllabi. Candidates can attend sessions only on Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM, making it suitable for those who work.

Short-Term Courses offered by Rashtriya Raksha Shakti University, Gandhinagar

Rashtriya Raksha Shakti University offers many short-term courses focused on defense and security training, as well as professional development in various areas. These courses are taught by experts from the police, central armed police forces, safety, and legal sectors. The duration of these courses ranges from one week up to six months, and includes some weekend courses that take place on Saturdays and Sundays, lasting 4 to 6 hours each day. The application process for the defence training at Rashtriya Shakti University can be made online. Here are the complete steps for it.

Step 1: Visit the official Rashtriya Raksha University website or its training portal.

Step 2: Locate the "Admissions" or "Weekend Training Course Registration" section on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on the online application form link to open the registration page.

Step 4: New users need to register by providing their email, mobile number, and basic details to create an account. 

Step 5: After account creation, log in and complete the application form by entering personal information such as name, date of birth, and father's name, along with educational qualifications and contact details. 

Step 6: Upload scanned copies of required documents like marksheets, ID proof, and a photo, ensuring each file is under 5MB in size. 

Step 7: Finally, pay the application fee online to submit the form successfully.

Once you are all done, a confirmation message and receipt will be receive via email or SMS message. 

According to Bhawanisingh Rathore, SISSP Director, many past candidates have successfully cleared police recruitment exams through these courses, and the initiative aims to prepare youth for the forthcoming Gujarat Police recruitment.
