Narasaraopeta Engineering College Overview
Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC) was established in 1998. It was the first Engineering college of the Narasaraopeta region with affiliation to JNTU Kakinada. The college functions under the Gayatri Educational Development Society (GEDS). NEC is accredited by NBA and NAAC “A+” grade. It is also approved by the AICTE. In the 2025 Times Engineering Survey, NEC was ranked 4th among the Best Private Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, the college was placed in the 201-300 rank band in the NIRF 2024 rankings.

Candidates need to fulfil the Narasaraopeta Engineering College eligibility criteria for admission in Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. The general admission criteria for the courses offered by Narasaraopeta Engineering College is given below:
Candidates must have passed the Class 12 exam from a recognised board with at least 45% marks(40% for reserved categories).
For PG programs, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks(45% for SC/ST).
Candidates must have Physics and Maths in Class 12 for admission to the BTech program.
Candidates must have a BE/BTech degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks(45% for SC/ST) for admission to the MTech program.

In the 2024-25 academic year, 662 candidates received offers from 68 companies like TCS, CTS, WIPRO, FSS, GGK Tech, HCL, etc. The highest number of candidates were placed in Computer Science & Engineering specialisation with 167 candidates from both BTech and MTech programs. Moreover, 2 candidates from the CSE branch received a salary package of INR 11 LPA from JUSPAY. In the BTech program, 37 candidates were hired by Cognizant, where 35 candidates received a salary package of INR 4 LPA and 2 candidates received a salary package of INR 6.75 LPA. The highest salary package offered in 2025 at NEC was INR 14.5 LPA, and the average salary package was INR 4.5 LPA.
Narasaraopeta Engineering College Scholarships 2025
Narasaraopeta Engineering College offers scholarships to candidates with an annual family income of less than INR 90,000. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must pass the Class 12 exam with good marks as per the college’s policy.
