The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination for candidates affected by technical glitches at the CT Group of Institutions Examination Centre in Jalandhar on June 22, 2026. The official notice released by NTA has clearly stated that the re-exam will be conducted at the CT Group of Institutions on 5th July 2026 from 3 PM onwards. Only those candidates who are at the centre for Shift 1 and are unable to start or finish their exam can appear for the re-exam.
According to the official notice released by the NTA, it has clarified that the issue has been reported by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). To ensure that no candidate is unfairly affected, the NTA has decided to hold a fresh examination to ensure fairness and transparency for the impacted candidates. Apart from this, the agency will also release the fresh admit card for the UGC NET June 2026. Applicants who are going to appear for the UGC-NET June 2026 again are advised to check the official website and notifications for the latest updates regarding the re-exam.
Who can appear for the UGC-NET June 2026 Re-Exam?
The NTA will conduct the UGC-NET June 2026 Re-Exam only for the affected candidates of CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar. Applicants must be eligible to appear for the re-exam. Candidates can check who can appear for the re-exam from below.

Re-Exam is announced for Shift 1 Candidates Only
As per the official notice, only those candidates who were present at the CT Group of Institutions examination centre in Jalandhar and were unable to take or finish the UGC NET exam because of technical problems will be allowed to appear for the re-test. NTA apologised for the inconvenience faced by students and said that affected candidates would get another chance to take the examination. The re-exam will be held on July 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the same examination centre in Jalandhar where the technical issue occurred.
UGC NET June 2026 Exam Continues as Scheduled
NTA has made it clear that the UGC NET June 2026 examination has not been cancelled across the country. The problem was reported only at one examination centre in Jalandhar, and the re-test will be conducted only for the candidates affected during Shift I at that centre.
The agency said that the decision was taken to ensure that students who could not complete the exam due to technical difficulties are not put at a disadvantage. Through the re-examination, NTA aims to provide a fair opportunity to all affected candidates.
NTA to issue Revised Admit Card
NTA has also informed that the new and revised admit card will be issued for the UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam. Affected candidates can download the admit card from the official website of the NTA once the link is activated. The revised admit cards will contain the candidate’s important information like examination schedule, reporting time and other instructions.
