The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the NEET UG 2026 fee refund deadline to 14 July 2026 up to 11:50 PM. Another opportunity has been given to eligible candidates to complete the NEET fee refund verification process. The extension follows an earlier deadline during which many students were unable to verify or update their NEET 2026 bank account details.
Candidates need to log in to the official NEET portal to verify or correct the error details such as their bank account number, IFSC code and account holder's name. The NTA has stated that refunds will be processed only to verified bank accounts, making it important for candidates to submit accurate information before the revised deadline. Those who fail to complete the bank account verification for NEET UG refund by 14 July may miss the opportunity to receive their refund.
What Candidates Need To Know?
As per the official notification, NTA states that the extension has been granted because there are many eligible candidates have still not confirmed or updated their bank account details. Hence, there is this another opportunity to ensure refunds are processed without errors. The notice also clarifies that candidates must complete OTP-based verification while updating their bank details and that refunds will be credited only after successful verification.
The NTA has assured candidates that the examination fee will be refunded. The refund is being provided following the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 exam held on 3 May 2026. So far, around 10,28,223 candidates have successfully updated and confirmed their bank details. The NTA has already started processing refunds for these candidates.
