The National Testing Agency has successfully conducted the NEET Re-exam 2026 on 21 June from 2 PM to 5:15 PM. More than 22 lakh candidates have appeared for the NEET 2026 Re Exam, which was held across 5,440 examination centres in 551 cities in India and abroad. The exam was held under strict security measures which included biometric verification, CCTV monitoring at examination centres and candidate impersonation checking.
According to the students who appeared for the NEET Re test 2026, the overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Many candidates found the Chemistry and Biology sections manageable or relatively easy to attempt. However, the Physics section was considered the toughest part of the paper due to its lengthy and analytical questions. Several students said that managing time during the exam was difficult. Meanwhile, some students reportedly missed the exam because they reached the examination centre late and were not allowed to enter.
The unofficial answer key has been released on various platforms that candidates can refer to check their expected scores. NEET Re-Exam 2026: Subject-Wise Paper Pattern and Difficulty Overview
NEET paper analysis shows that the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. Physics was the toughest section with difficult and lengthy questions, while Chemistry, Botany and Zoology were of moderate level. However, the paper did not have many questions from outside the syllabus.
Physics mainly included application based numerical questions that involved multiple steps and calculations. In the Biology section, most questions were directly based on the Class 12 NCERT syllabus but they still required careful reading and focus.
