The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched an official WhatsApp service to provide direct and verified updates to the candidates appearing for the NEET re exam 2026. Through this NEET 2026 WhatsApp update initiative, students will receive important and accurate updates related to the NEET exam 2026 directly on their WhatsApp.
Candidates will get important notifications related to the NEET re-test. The information will include the latest announcements, exam updates and centre information. The move has been taken by NTA and government officials as several fake messages and misleading claims related to the NEET re exam 2026 are being circulated online through unofficial sources or social media posts.
How Candidates Can Verify NTA WhatsApp Updates?
In a recent post on X, the National Testing Agency (NTA) clearly stated that all NEET re exam 2026 WhatsApp updates will be sent only through its verified WhatsApp account. Students can identify genuine messages by checking for the blue verification tick and the name "National Testing Agency" on WhatsApp. The agency has also shared its official WhatsApp number, which is +91 78279 80287. The agency has also advised candidates not to trust messages coming from any other number, even if they claim to be from NTA.
The agency explained that the WhatsApp service is only meant for sending important NEET exam updates and centre details to candidates. It is a one-way communication channel, which means students will not be able to ask any questions or reply to the messages.
NTA has also made it clear that it will never ask candidates to share OTPs, provide personal details, or make any payment through WhatsApp. Any message requesting such details should be considered a fake NEET UG 2026 fraud alert message.
By introducing these guidelines, NTA aims to help students that they receive official updates directly from the agency. Candidates are requested to rely only on official updates and be cautious of fake messages ahead of the NEET UG 2026 re exam, which is scheduled to be held on 21 June 2026.
What Students Should Do If They Receive Suspicious Messages?
Firstly, candidates are advised to ignore any message that claims to offer NEET question papers, answer keys, guaranteed scores or examination-related benefits in exchange for money or personal information.
In case students receive any of these suspicious or fraudulent messages, then they have been advised to report it immediately to government officials. To do so, they can mail the information directly to innovateindia.mygov.in/neet-ug-2026.
Students can also contact the cybercrime helpline number at 1930 or report the crime by visiting cybercrime.gov.in.
NEET Re-exam 2026: Admit Card Updates
NTA has advised candidates to download NEET 2026 admit cards for retest only from the official website neet.nta.nic.in by typing the address directly in the browser.
The agency also clarified that the admit card that was issued on 3 May is no longer valid and candidates should rely only on the latest updates released by NTA officials.
