JoSAA Counselling 2026 Live: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has announced the JoSAA Round 2 seat allotment results on 30 June 2026. Candidates who have participated in the counselling process can check their allotment status by logging into the portal.

Step 2: Under the Candidate Activity Board Section, click on the “View Round 2 Seat Allocation Result” link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Log in using your JEE Main application number and password. Also, enter the security PIN in the given field.

Step 4: After logging in, your JoSAA Round 2 seat allotment result will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Check the allotted college and course. 

Step 6: Download or take a printout of the allotment result, as it will be required for the further admission process.

JoSAA Counselling 2026: How to Check Opening and Closing Ranks

The Opening and Closing Ranks for JoSAA Counselling 2026 will be used for admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government engineering institutes. After the Round 2 seat allotment result these ranks will be released on the official portal.

JoSAA Counselling 2026: Freeze, Float and Slide

In JoSAA Counselling, candidates are given three options after seat allotment, which are as follows.

Freeze: The candidate accepts the allotted seat and does not participate in further counselling rounds.

Float: The candidate accepts the allotted seat but remains open to upgrading to a better preferred institute in the next rounds.

Slide: The candidate accepts the current seat but opts for a possible branch upgrade within the same institute in subsequent rounds.
