Why Was NEET PG 2025 Postponed?
The decision by NBEMS to postpone the NEET PG 2025 examination came because of the Supreme Court’s order to change the exam shift format. According to the court, the previous two shift format created arbitrariness as the two question papers differed in their level of difficulty.
Upon this order for change, NBEMS consulted with their technology partner (TCS) which informed them that making the necessary changes in order to conduct the examination on the previous set date (15th of June) will not be possible. This is due to the fact that to conduct the exam in accordance with the changes, it has to be held in more than 250 cities and will require 1,000+ exam centers as compared to the previously planned 448 centers and 195 cities.
So as a result, NBEMS decided to postpone the exam date in order to make the necessary changes to accommodate a single shift format.
