The university has a special team called CRCP that supports students with placements. The CRCP helps students prepare for their future careers through personality development, mock interviews, CV writing, counselling, and internships.
Students must complete a 6–8 week summer internship with reputed companies, where they apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations. They can also take part in live projects alongside their studies to gain industry exposure.
NIU focuses on overall student growth by improving communication, behaviour, and professional skills. With strong academics, modern infrastructure, and support from CRCP, NIU maintains a good placement record every year.
NIU provides training to help students get ready for job placements. The training is designed based on what companies need. It includes:
Sessions by industry experts to connect students with real-world knowledge.
Special classes on aptitude, logical reasoning, quantitative and verbal skills.
Technical training by professionals from the industry.
Communication and foreign language training to improve speaking and writing skills.
Group discussions and mock interviews to boost confidence and interview performance.
These programs help students build the right skills and personality to succeed in placements.
Students can apply for jobs through the Placement Cell, but must follow proper guidelines.
If a student has already applied to a company, they must inform the placement team.
Students must not directly contact companies that are already connected with NIU for placements.
A soft copy of the resume and photo should be submitted before placements start.
Students should keep extra copies of their resumes and passport-size photos ready.
Companies may shortlist candidates based on their resumes or set criteria.
If no specific criteria are shared, the institute will shortlist students in consultation with the department heads.
Once the interview schedule is set, no changes will be allowed.
Interviews may be held on campus or at the company’s office.
The Placement Cell invites companies for campus recruitment and collects all job-related details like job role, salary, qualifications, joining date, etc.
It verifies the company’s background before allowing it to conduct drives.
Job information is shared with students and school coordinators.
The Placement Cell suggests dates for campus drives, finalises the schedule, and informs all concerned.
To prepare students, the university organises mock interviews and group discussions sessions.
Final selection lists are shared by the company with the Placement Cell, which then shares offer letters with students.
The Placement Cell also arranges hospitality for company representatives.
Final-year students can participate in placements, but can join jobs only in the last semester.
Students must follow all eligibility rules and be on time for placement activities.
A minimum of 75% attendance is required to appear in placement drives.
Misbehaviour or casual conduct can lead to debarment from the entire placement season.
Students must not contact company officials directly—problems should be taken up with the Placement Officer.
One Student, One Offer rule is followed. If a student accepts an offer and then declines, they may be barred from future placements unless there's a valid reason.
If a student quits midway, they are not allowed to sit for future placement drives unless there's a genuine issue.
