The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the CUET UG 2025 results today, marking an important moment for more than 13.5 lakh students nationwide. Candidates can now access their individual scorecards on the official portals—cuet.nta.nic.in and examinationservices.nic.in —by entering their application number and date of birth. This means that students can now start applying for college admission at top universities, such as the University of Delhi (DU)JNU, and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), following the official update.

Admissions Shift to CUET Scores

College admissions have changed a lot this year. Instead of focusing on Class 12 board marks like before, universities such as Delhi University now mainly use CUET UG scores for admission. Board marks are only used as a tie-breaker if needed. This new system is meant to make the process more fair and clear, especially for popular courses like BA (Hons) Political ScienceBA (Hons) History, and BCom (Hons), where getting in used to be very tough.

Delhi University: CSAS Portal and Admission Steps

Delhi University will conduct its undergraduate admissions through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), which is expected to open in August 2025. Respective students must register on the CSAS portal, paying a fee of INR 250 for general category candidates or  INR 100 for SC/ST/PwBD applicants. After registration, students can fill in their preferences for colleges and programs. The process will unfold in several phases:

  • Choice filling by students

  • Publication of merit lists

  • Seat allotment

  • Document verification

If seats remain vacant after the main allocation rounds, DU may conduct spot admission rounds. For science programs like BSc (Hons), candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12, with a minimum aggregate of 55% in these subjects. BTech aspirants need a JEE Main Paper 1 score and at least 60% in PCM.

JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia: Distinct Approaches

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will also admit students based on CUET UG 2025 scores, but it will not use the CSAS system. Instead, JNU will conduct its own online counseling process, with admissions expected to begin in mid to late July. Applicants must upload their CUET application form, admit card, 10th and 12th mark sheets, photo ID, and relevant certificates. JNU’s BA (Hons) programs in foreign languages remain among the most sought-after, attracting a diverse applicant pool.

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will admit students to most undergraduate courses through CUET UG, though a few programs—such as BTech, BArch, and BDS—will continue to use JEE Main, NATA, or NEET scores. For CUET-based admissions, Jamia will conduct online counseling, and candidates must provide a comprehensive set of documents, including admit card, application form, mark sheets, photo ID, transfer and migration certificates, and proof of fee payment. International applicants have additional requirements such as a passport, a visa, and a medical fitness certificate.
