OP Jindal University Admission Process and Eligibility Criteria 2026
Operating under a merit-based system, OP Jindal University Admissions follows a well-organised and transparent process that makes the selection process clear for applicants. The university offers admission to Bachelor (UG), Master (PG) and Doctoral (PhD) level programmes in engineering, management, commerce, economics, and science.
Basically, the educational qualification of the candidate should be a minimum of 50% marks in the Higher Secondary Examination (Class XII) along with meeting the subject-wise requirements of the respective programme, in order to be eligible for UG programmes. Along with the above, B.Tech candidates are required to submit a valid JEE / CGPET / OPJU SAT score. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/especially abled candidates can avail a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks as per rules.
Admissions to PG programmes normally require a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks. M.Tech aspirants might have to provide a GATE / Entrance Test score, and for Executive MBA, apart from work experience, the applicants must qualify for the other admission criteria as well.
The basic sequence of admissions is filing applications (online/offline), publishing the merit list, counselling, document verification, and provisional admission. The selected candidates are required to pay the stipulated fees along with a One-Time Deposit (OTD) of INR 10,000 or INR 15,000, which can be adjusted against enrolment charges but is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
